Workaholics Anonymous, is working too much bad for you?

I am a workaholic… YEP, I said it. And I also know there is the possibility that you could be shaming me and shaking your fist in the air at that statement.

Truth be told, I LOVE working. If I could be immortal and not sleep to work, I would. 🤣⁣ I used to hate that I loved working because I felt guilty. But that's who I am.⁣

And that's also why I talk so much about integrating things that are important to me....to OTHER things that are important to me. I have had to be very careful and make sure the things most important to me are in my line of sight.

This ensures that I am giving attention to the things that are most important to me:⁣

  • 𝘍𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩

  • 𝘍𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺

  • 𝘔𝘺 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 (𝘢𝘬𝘢 helping business professionals improve their overall quality of life and find more joy at work)

Without any of these, I wouldn't have my purpose. And I am not going to lie; sometimes my family and friends have to remind me when I start veering into left field. And that’s okay because, guess what?… I’m not perfect!

Self-awareness is the mother of all mothers! ⁣

Are you struggling with the same guilt?

I am here to tell you that it’s OKAY that you like working... It’s a good thing! However, be careful not to let it take over your life like it did to me one time.

The other thing to consider is to ask yourself… Am I working so much to avoid something else?…. Like it did to me one time. Believe me, I’ve been there.

1-on-1 coaching might be a perfect step for you if you are experiencing any of these and are not sure where to start.

If this speaks to you, reach out to me by clicking here for a quick call to talk about what’s going on and if we are a good fit to work together.
