Can Hypnotherapy Help Me?
I’ve never been the type of person to say to myself, “That’s just the way I am.” I always was taught that anything can be figured out no matter what the circumstances and what little resources I might have within myself. Until one day, I felt stuck, tired, and depressed. I realized into my 30s that I wasn’t exactly where I wanted to be in life. My expectations for myself were extremely high. I would put so much pressure on myself to get it right that I never even realized when I was “getting it right.” It wasn’t until I went to a hypnotherapist that I had childhood conditioning that taught me how to self-criticize, be a perfectionist, and people please my way through life. Going to my hypnotherapist I found that I needed to work through childhood programming that created so many decisions I made in life. Hypnotherapy actually helped me work through the loss of a family member, healed my psoriasis, healed my shoulder pain, and relieved me from self-guilt for past mistakes. I believe in it so much that I became a Clinical Hypnotherapist myself.
So, what is all this stuff anyways?
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural state of mind where you slip into deeper alpha and theta brain waves. When you’re in a deeper brain wave state, you’re more responsive to working through blocks. During a hypnotic session, you’ll feel a sense of deep relaxation, but your mind will be fully present and alert throughout the entire session. In fact, you slip in and out of hypnosis every day when you’re daydreaming, waking up from a deep sleep, or even driving in your car.
